The American Institute of Graphic Design (AIGA) asked me to review a series of anti-tobacco PDAs. I contrasted the usual “don’t, it’s bad for you” admonitions (which don’t work) with Truth Out’s presentation of the evils of tobacco companies. The campaign also tried to look as though it was produced by teens instead of some slick agency, which was a lie—but hey.
