This was one of the columns I wrote between 2003 and 2007 for STEP inside design. Sometimes they gave me a theme to work with. This time the focus was on product design. I indulged a pet peeve about cheese graters, and didn’t hold back—it hadn’t been long since I’d been wearing wrist braces on both hands, and I did like fresh grated cheese.
